Accordingly, there are 51 Production Unit Codes and 25 Pack House Codes that meet the requirements of the Protocol and are approved for export of durian products to China.
Among 51 Production Unit Codes, Dak Lak has 23 codes, Dong Nai 7, Binh Phuoc 5, Tien Giang 3, Ben Tre 2, Long An 2, Binh Thuan 2, Khanh Hoa 2, Kon Tum 2, Dong Thap 1, Lam Dong 1 and Tay Ninh 1 code.
With Pack House Codes, Tien Giang has 10 codes, Dak Lak 4, Ben Tre 3, Dong Nai 3, Lam Dong 2, Dong Thap 1, Khanh Hoa 1, Hai Duong 1.
According to the provisions of the Protocol signed by China and Vietnam, before starting trade, the Chinese side will review the compliance with the Protocol for enterprises exporting durian from Vietnam to China.
To ensure commercial security and speed up the registration process of Vietnam’s durian exporters to China, in combination with relevant verification documents provided by China, as of July 15 - September 4, the General Administration of Customs of China conducted an assessment of online real-time videos of planting gardens and packing facilities.
The list of growing area and packing facility codes published by China Customs is the result of a comprehensive assessment by Chinese experts, combining video inspection, document review out of a total of 126 Production Unit Codes and 44 Pack House Codes proposed by Vietnamese authorities.
