At the ceremony, Mr. Ngo The Hien, Director of the Center for Informatics and Statistics, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said: The project “Establishing a smart and safe agricultural product value chain in Vietnam” is funded by the Korean Government through the Department of Training, Promotion and Information Services on Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries - Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of Korea and its Vietnamese partner, the Center for Informatics and Statistics, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The project was implemented at the Potato, Vegetable and Flower Research Center (PVFC) - Da Lat, Lam Dong and processed a large database at the Center for Informatics and Statistics from non-refundable funding of the Government. Government of Korea with the implementation period of 3 years from January 2022 to December 2024. The project will establish a smart and safe agricultural product value chain with products including 3 crops: tomatoes, bell peppers and strawberries, and the production chain is carried out from production to preliminary processing and market distribution. The goal of the project is to provide high quality and safe food for consumers, increase productivity and income for farmers through the application of smart agricultural production model along the agricultural product value chain.
