The Festival opening ceremony is scheduled to be held on the evening of November 9 at Thang Long Imperial Citadel with about 300 delegates from Party, State, ministries, Hanoi city and localities; representatives of international organizations and talented artisans and workers were honored and participated in the fair.
Delegates attending opening ceremony will perform incense offering ceremony at Kinh Thien Palace, recreate the procession of Craft Ancestors in some traditional Vietnamese craft villages, and open the Festival and Handicraft Product Fair - OCOP and awarded Vietnam Handicraft Products Contest.
In addition, the main events of Festival also include ceremony to honor 100 delegates of artisans and skilled workers from provinces and cities; international fair introduces craft village products and OCOP products with a scale of 300 specially designed display booths from more than 100 domestic and international units and businesses.
Display booths at the Festival are divided into separate display spaces, including Hanoi Craft Village Creative Space with a scale of more than 2,000 square meters, and space for displaying and introducing international handicraft products. In the central area of the fair, Space for displaying handicraft products participating in the Vietnam Handicraft Product Contest has an area of 450m2, Space for heritage craft villages, OCOP products Exhibition, Space for experiencing regional OCOP culinary culture, Area for typical handicraft demonstration area,...
MARD wishes to create an environment through the first Vietnam Craft Village Conservation and Development Festival 2023 and knowledge in producing and trading craft village products; honor artisans, skilled workers and workers in craft villages; promote and introduce traditional craft villages and craft streets in Hanoi city and the whole country; step by step promote consumption, increase product value and develop tourism in craft villages.
